Went camping one spring (lovely sunny day) - plummeted to minus 17 C overnight
Although not the coldest place I've been - I did have to attempt to sleep in it with a bag rated to only +5 C...was just so cold...

October 1964, i was a 15 year old kid deep sea fishing ( out of Grimsby) off the coast of Iceland, it was so called we had to chop the ice off the trawler rigging otherwise we would become top-heavy, needless to say i decided there was better ways of earning a living so i went to work in a cold store -25C all the time
