The prospects of any of the present gaggle of either Republicans or Democrats just depress me. I almost hate them and am sick at my stomach when I know one of these jerks will be standing at the head of the parade smily and waving at the cameras for years to come. Yuk.

In the end, I still vote to at least say I tried to curb the damage. Not voting says you don't want the right to complain. At this point, it's down to picking the most likely to not screw things up as bad as the last guy. Honestly, I'm having an easier time this election than in '04. That was a joke if there ever was one. There's a lot of overlooked candidates out there, and maybe, just maybe, one of them will pull ahead and we'll get someone that's not completely terrible for president. Could be worse. Just hoping to replace the current prez with someone that's....uh...competant.

I won't vote for Hillary. We have already seen what the Clintons can do. We already know they can ruin the whitehouse and country so why not give some one else a chance?
And I would never vote for any other Democrats because we can see what great approval they get when the majority of congress is Democratic. Donkies suck anyway. So it's between Rudy or Mitt.

I'm from "jolly old England" and don't understand the American political system and would be grateful for an explanation. Whats the difference between the Republicans and Democrats? - in the UK, labour are left wing and the conservatives right wing - is it the same in the US? Also which party is George?
(so you know Britain has a labour gov, premiered by Gordon Brown although this will probably change to the conservatives at the next election)
Thanks for any explanation.

I know what you mean. Even if there were a candidate who SAID all the right things you wanted to hear, there would be no guarantee that he/she would do them once in office.

I agree, except for the hating part. I don't know any of them so I can't hate them.
