Well I mean I know why.... but isn't it dead in the water right now. Nobody on television even talks about it now... it's really just a moot point. I mean it's already been established several times what happened... Belichick and Mangini extended eachother the courtesy of having cameramen on the field during the game. Belichick changed his mind in the playoffs because he felt the game was too important and had the Jets camera guy removed. In turn... Mangini got upset because they had an agreement and decided to have the Patriots camera guy removed in the season opener in the Meadowlands. Just so happens though that where the Patriots placed their guy was against league rules and it was not against the rules where the Jets had their's placed even though they are both receiving the same exact information... etc, etc, etc. Everyone knows this is an outdated rule considering the ways around it... correct? I mean... isn't this all established, why is this still an issue to some people?

Why?? All the other NFL teams (and their fans) have "championship" envy. They think that because the New England Patriots (which by the way, I am happy as hell that they went 16-0, and hope they finish the job; not because they are my favorite team, but because I value perfection) "cheated" by videotaping their opponents in an admittingly suspicious manner, that they possessed an "unfair" advantage. Maybe so.

However, there are some other points to ponder...for instance, just because an opponent has an "unfair" advantage, does not mean that they are advantageous. The opponent must still EXECUTE. The fact that the Patriots did execute does not mean they are "cheaters". They have just put together a powerhouse of a team that other teams are kicking themselves for not thinking of putting together themselves earlier. The other thing to think about is that to suggest that the Patriots are the only team to "cheat" is utterly absurd. Every other team, NO MATTER WHAT THEY TRY TO TELL YOU, does their damnedest to obtain an "unfair" advantage over their opponents. The reasons that the Patriots were outted were because...of the bad blood between Mangini and Belichick, and they were biggest and easiest targets to make an example of (being the most likely to have succeeded in the NFL this year).

The bottom line is that the Patriots have paid their penance in full, and then some. They WILL win the Super Bowl handily, and be rewarded for their martyrdom. There is no logical reason why "Cameragate" should be brought up ever again. What's done is done; all should be forgiven; and if the other NFL teams have a problem...they should learn how to put together a competitive (championship-caliber) football team from the masters, the New England Patriots. I guarantee, "Cameragate" would NOT be an issue again.

I think that some fans think that it's kind of cheating to have a camera man over the stadium. They think that it's a cheap practice and it degrades the atmosphere of the game. I mean sure you can watch out for patterns on the field and study your opponent's game strategy, but there's a lot more stuff you can do with the camera that might violate the privacy of the opposing team. It's a leagal practice, but the fans don't want unfair advantages and too much competition between the teams just for a win. The fans want a honest football game

Jealous..jealous..
If it's not their team, they obsess about it. People just love to talk trash about the team on top. This happens in every sport.
