I'm not sure how you can judge Matt Cassel as "sucking," considering he only attempted 7 passes this season. He's a cheap backup who obviously impressed Belichick enough to win the backup role, and I have to trust that guy when it comes to personnel choices.

Sorgi didn't do much this year, but his numbers in previous seasons have been impressive in limited duty. He has a 90.4 QB rating for his career, and a 6/1 TD/INT ratio. He shouldn't be judged on last night's performance, given that he'd only thrown 12 passes all year before being thrown into a lineup without Harrison and Gonzalez to throw the ball to.

No, every year they play behind Manning and Brady they get a little better. probably as good as you are going to find out there anyway. The QB position is pretty thinned out in the NFL right now.

How do we know they suck? We rarely get to see them.

And you can't judge a guy by how he does in very rare spot duty. No chance to get the timing down.

Cassell looks better than Sorgi, but until they have to start a few games, we will never know.

Plus the Pats could live without Brady more than the Colts can live without Manning....

Both teams have the QB of the further right now, maybe in a few years when they start to get old the teams will start looking for a new one to replace them, but right now you can't get any better then Brady and Manning

Why would it matter. Manning and Brady never go down with injury. They don't need backups.
