Yes. In fact, there is a place near Perth, Western Australia, called Penguin Island, due to the colony of wild Little Penguins that live there. This species also inhabits parts of the coasts of New Zealand, Tasmania, and mainland Australia.

Fairy (little) Penguins in SYDNEY Habour near Manly Beach at least 30 naturaly occuring pairs's. -Also hundreds on Philip Island near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Many people think penguins only live in Antartica in cold water, but this is far from the truth. There are penguins all the up to the Galapogas Islands, which are almost on the Ecuator.
