There are no government grants just for being in debt. Keep job hunting, you'll find something. The economy in WA is relatively good.

Government grants are for business purposes not personal debt

And most (not all) are granted to non-profit organizations

if your husband is still in the military then you should be able to get financial assistance on base. you will have to go through some debt management classes and they won't give you cash but they will stop creditors from hounding you . Additionally if you are in need of food , health and welfare type items the either the army emergency relief(AER) or the red cross on base can help. There are several avenues of assistance. I suggest hubby contact the unit 1SG and let him/her know your situation and seek help that way

Cant you get a job somewhere on post? The PX or something? Keep applying, and follow up with the employers you already applied to.

There is typically some sort of office on post to assist with spousal employment. If things get that bad, go to AER.

But there is also the Servicemans Relief Act. JAG can tell you more about the rights you have with that.
