How do I clean around rivets in stainless cookware?

I use oven cleaner. Wear gloves!

Gregg H had a great answer an electric toothbrush. I use both non and electric for hard to reach areas.

Sounds stupid, but I have a small electric toothbrush dedicated to the purpose of cleaning hard-to-get areas.
