Not a thing. It's being dishonest and unethical that's wrong. Sadly, many people don't seem to grasp the difference between the two sets of attitudes/actions. Including many politicians.
Example: There was nothing wrong with GWBush being calculating and ambitious in seeking the presidency (never mind I don't like himor what he's done). That part's fine.
But when he used the "Swift Boat Veterans" to slander first John McCain and then John Kerry (neither of whom I supported, BTW) he crossed the line into dishonest and unethical behavior. And that was wrong.

Although capitalist society is built on self interest, actual democracy is based on doing ones job in the way they are asked to do, it is a utility for the the majority of people to get what the want from society. and not for someone to get what they want at the expense of what the majority wants.

I would think, just about everything. Politics is supposed to be about serving the interests of the people, and that requires honesty, forthrightness, and integrity. But, almost all politicians seem to have forgotten that they are servants of the people, NOT the other way around, and that is why this world has gotten so terribly $cre wed up! *sm*

Anybody who runs for president is calculating and ambitious. It goes with the territory. They also have to have large egos that make them want to be historically singled out forever. Hopefully, along with all of that, they have some ideas as to how to lead the country into peace and prosperity, and the skills and judgement to be successful.

To neocons, it is always different when a woman does it, no matter what it is, unless it is washing dishes or cooking.

Being calculating and Ambitious (i.e; manipulative) turned the whole thing into a squalor of corruption and sleaze.
Which is the problem with Democracy - if one person starts playing dirty-handed, everyone does.
I don't see what you're getting at with the sexism bit, other than that women have an unfair advantage (Breasts).
edit to answer added info "You NEVER hear about a male politician being too calculating or ambitious.":
Correct, that's because it's expected in politics for the reasons i alluded to above.
