does that mean that adult swim wont air futurama anymore?

my friend told me that they're taking it off of cartoon network for a little bit while fox airs new episodes(about a whole season's worth). but im not so sure. and now im hearing stuff about comedy central.

basically, i just want to know if any new episodes will be shown and if adult swim will eventually show futurama again. im starting to get worried because i really love that show. aha.

=] thanks.

Your friend is HALF-right. Cartoon Network's license for Futurama is now expired as of today. Comedy Central now has the license (and will start running it on Wednesday before South Park) and will run 13 new episodes edited from the four straight-to-DVD movies Fox produced (the first is out now; the others are yet to be released)

As I understand it, AS won't be showing Futurama much for a while, to let more people flock to the new episodes on Comedy Central, and to get people to buy the DVDs.

However, in general, they keep the rights to air shows, so it will probably be back down the line.
