Hopefully, the realization that the war in Iraq can never be won, and the sensible pullout of our troops. If things get any worse, I will have to agree with Barlow and say the possible launch of World War III.
With this being a presidental election year, however, I believe that 2008 will bring about a change in the political agenda, and our new president will make a sensible decision to end this war nonsense, so that another World War can be avoided.
In entertainment, I think (and hope) that P.Diddy, 50 Cent and the likes of the rest of them can also be ousted from power of the music industry, so that we can get rid of the commercialization of hip-hop, get rid of any and all overrated acts, and we can restore music to its former glory. Also, the end of the writer's strike, so we can see more new episodes of our favorite shows, and before this begins to affect soap operas.
I also think (and hope) that THE VIEW will be cancelled this year. What an icky show!
