You should be excited about James VanRiemsdyk. I think he is going to be a good one. Leading the World Juniors in scoring and it seems he has been the best player in the tournament so far.
Also, Giroux has serious potential, Downie is looking good in the AHL, Parent is coming along, keep an eye on Nodl and Bartulis.
Some good looking prospects indeed.

Thoughts?

There were thoughts that aside from Cherapanov, VanRiemsdyk may have been the best player in the 2007 draft class.

The way he has played for New Hampshire, and the way he has played in this tournament, I think Philadelphia has gotten themselves a gem.

The only question I have...is when does he join them? Players in the ECAC and Hockey East rarely leave before graduation.

Unlike the CCHA and WCHA where players generally just do their two years (or in the case of Okposo, stop going to class so you fail out)

I wonder if it was Clarkie all along that brought this franchise down.It looks to be a good future for the orange and black.

Not a Flyers fan, but I spent alot of time in Philly this year working, and got to meet alot of Flyers fans. I thought they did a great job this off season, with they aquisitions they made. They seem to have some great up and comers, that hopefully will make an impact in the next few years. I know real Flyers fans, would like to erase the mistake of the Lindros era, that was a tough time, some success, but too many letdowns. I cant wait to see the new schedule, to start seeing the Wings playing the East more.
