i think it all comes down to offense, or lack thereof. it was very poor offense that put the defense thru hell to where injuries mounted. the offense line, qb situations, and lack of coordinating were the biggest factors.
i think that a key p/up would be culpepper; his experience, mobility, and other abilities would be key in improving '08. Add at least two O linemen, and there will be a very successful '08 (especially since next years' schedule will be softer).

I hope they realize now if they don't get another QB, that Orton should be starting over Grossman

They didnt resign their defensive coordinator, Ron Rivera. When he became their defensive coordinator, that defense became top of the league. This year, look at their defense. They gave up an average of 350 yards a game and 21 points per game. They also made a mistake on letting go of thomas jones.

Their lack of creative play calling on offense. They have a very predictable offense game called and they don't scare any opposing defenses.
They need to open up that playbook.
