No but "rocks" were still experimental. I was in my late 20s before the dinosaurs started to show up...

Yes, there were as a matter of fact. Anyone who lived on my street in the 1950's & who were forty, were dinosaurs, in my eyes.

I think not. I live just down the road from the Sandia Man cave. They found the bones of what might have been the last wooly mammoth in there. No dinausaur remains to speak of.
Probably the dinosaurs just became too dependent on government handouts and spang passed on to the next lifetimes as wooly mammoths when the governments unexpectedly collapsed.
