I believe it is derived from its origin, which would be Nigeria.
But then ***** is also spanish. Meaning black.
The blacks came over as slaves to the rich in the old days before they became free. Nigerians, ******, and then some idiot got a bit carried away and the N word came into play.
Very Very offensive and hurtful......

it really means black from the spanish root *****=black
but it's also a degrading, insulting term that slave master used when referring to their slave. they use it do dehumanize them, show that the inferiority of the slave. but sadly over time people keep using it and the some colored skin people today use it sometimes as a "good" thing, like affection among themselves and friendly love.

If you look it up, it means ignorant person. It probably stems from a vast majority of freed slaves were uneducated, therfore ignorant, hence the word.

from the river niger.....most of the slavers picked up slaves at the markets on niger river.... so when sold they were nigers and with that came *******..................the latin word for black is where ***** come from
