some tell-tale activity, nevertheless. Is there a COMPETITION of some kind taking place OUT THERE, between some people who ask questions?
If so, what gain, do you propose to make?
And if your search for a gain, results as positive.
What does that Gain, then Make you?

Dude, you do not surprise me.

I wonder why it is that the way I naturally speak is such a target for some of you. I am not competing, I am trying to understand why it appears that question askers seem, (not all, by the way) to be in competition for stars or the superior meaning of a question posted.
It must be a limited , yet persistent habit, which utilizes very little thinking, to call me ignorant, user of big words, etc.
Do you think it stones me to the ground??
No, it only makes me wonder more, why there appears to be so much pride in remaining typically limited for some of you.
It is so without discretion, a hollow and tell tale attack which you make.
And publicly!
Happier, now?

Thank you Mystery, and Don.
I mean no harm when I ask questions, only clarity do I seek.
And yes, the way I speak is the result of English being a second language, and my parents being polyglots. Bur for that I do not, nor should anyone blame them, for their live of
linguistics had proven contagious as we were reared.
Although I have to admit I love, "rap" especially Ice Cube, and Tupac Shakur, may he rest in peace, and my favourite is (of all times) Mr. Snoop Dogg!
I wish I could compose rap as they do.
I am telling you the truth, no sarcasm meant.
I am amazed by their lingo, which describes through such simplicity of street-wiseness, the truth! I listen to Tupac and I believe he had to me, non pareil, a truly brilliant lyricist, thinker, philosopher ,seer and visionary.
I suppose, such tremendously impacting natural attributes made him a premature target of death.
Thank you.

Well, Free, this question was related to another I asked. That was What makes this website, (at times?) alike shooting fish in a barrel? My answer would have been, but ONLY my answer : the sometimes fierce spirit or drive for competition, from a few particular people who post questions galore! Not that that's bad, it certainly eases my need to make my brain a thinking engine, which mine is NOT!. For example, if I were to stock a barrel with trout, and had a rifle, that type of fish would be so prevalent that I'd probably get every single one. Unless of course I ran out of ammunition, fish to stock, or interest. , I forget my own question, since my focus keeps going to my injured face.
Oh, I'm not making a point worthy of itself! Sorry!
Competition is fine, what the heck!!!
Competition is Life, no matter from what perspective one views it, hey Hakim, who's surfaced again?
Yup, Life is all about competition! Mine at present is, who has more facial pain that I? Anyone does?

It's about fear and insecurity and how fear makes you need to prove you are right, but you already knew that didn't you?

Love and blessings Don

You are amazing! You can hold your own anywhere!

There is always competition of some sort going on. I don't know what the gain is for those who do that. I am thinking there must be some gain or they wouldn't do it???

Life in itself is often times made out to be a competition. In Islam we are encouraged to be competitive in that we should race to perform good deeds and answering questions can be a form of a good deed depending on how we choose to answer the question

I don't know of any competition in question asking. It looks to me tho you see one and are attempting to compete also. If you use complex sentences and big words. It does not make you intelligent, only ignorant. If you were really intelligent you would want everyone to understand your point, not attempt to confuse them.

What does this question make you? I know what this answer makes me. There is no such thing as an asker or answerer. We are all the same.

Actually I am your updated post made me smile. You did not upset me, I did not intend to upset you. I misunderstood your intentions. You are very smart, I agree with what you just said. It seems to me people compete for stars, just as you said. Everyone wants their answer to be the best. That is just how it is, in life and everthing. Everybody wants some kind of recognition, we are all the same. I hope i did not ruin your day. Thanks for allowing me to know you better. Happy New Year. Best for you in 2008 and beond.

All you control in life is yourself. Do not let others behavior influence your emotions and behavior.
