Smallville is indeed going to end after the 8th season, though Michael Rosenbaum, who plays Lex Luther, is leaving after the current 7th.

I myself have not seen any of the current season. It just hasn't been consistently of a high enough quality recently to justify my watching it. I will catch it on dvd, but not on the air.

i think it should, because he's not a kid growing up anymore. He's basically a man. They should make a new series and call it Metropolis or something like that.

I have not really seen it going anywhere the past few seasons. I just hope not. I like the show. The show does story lines then just drops them. What happened to the guy who played the Green Arrow, they just dropped that story line. Also Lionel really does not have any purpose on the show any more. They keep cutting his story line down.

Yes, it will end soon. I love the show, but the plots are starting to get old. I think they'll end it at the end of the eight season. Lana and Clark will break up and at the end of the eighth season Clark will start being interested in Lois. They'll show in college grad. and him applying for a job at the Daily Planet in the series finale.
