I'm acutally the party grl type and old enough to drink, but this year i'm outta town with my family. I'm just gonna stay in and chill with my family...and I'm okay with that - I party too much as it and NYE is just another day.

I don't think so! Sometime in my 30's I figured out it was rather silly to spend most of the first day of a brand new year feeling like crap. I prefer to enjoy a glass of schnapps and a favorite old movie to ring out the old year... then spend New Years Day tacking some chore that I kept putting off in the old year. Dull perhaps, but overall, I end up feeling better in the long run.

No, I think for the third time in my life...I am going to have a quiet evening and stay in with family members. We'll probably watch for the ball in NYC and count down to the New Year....it'll be the extent of fun we'll get to. It is safer to stay at home and enjoy the view from my living room. Tomorrow will be the new year!

Happy New Year to all on the Y!A people and staff....!! Good luck...thanks for being there!

I'm probably going to stay at home and watch football. There's a place with a party within walking distance of where I live, so I might go over there a little while before midnight, but other than that, no big plans.

You only live once, and maybe you should loosen up a little bit. Besides, I don't see how this is a politics question.

I prefer to stay in and sleep, then watch football all day on New Years Day. But I am not under 35, but I have always been like that. My wife prefers to go out.

yeah ur prolly the only one. go clubbin, get krunk, have fun. (And if ur WAY under 35 and under the drinking/clubing age, light fireworks!) I dont really see the problem with staying up till midnight one day of the year! Plus, most people get Jan 1st off from work so yeah.

My father was a bartender, he called this amateur night and wouldn't go out.
I've never liked drunken brawls so I've never gone out this night, I've had lots of small intimate parties, first with boyfriends, later with my husband, and still later with my husband and kids, or grand kids. We all sleep over and no one is on the roads.
I may be over 35 now but I haven't always been, and I have never gone out New Years Eve.
In my mind, its still amateur night.
