Yes it can but it will do for sure is kill all your good flora in your intestines and that will really mess up your bowl. Your menstrual cycles will return to normal on its own once you stop taking the penicillin how ever for your intestines you will need to eat a couple of yogurts with live and active culture in it. That would be any good yogurt would be fine.

Penicillin itself is not likely to cause interrupted menstrual cycles.

However, pencillin affects your normal intestinal bacteria, which can decrease the absorption of oral contraceptives. In other words, it can make birth control pills not work. The extent to which this happens isn't well-known, as it's difficult to get women to volunteer for a study that involves possibly getting pregnant!

The condition you're taking penicillin for can also affect your menstrual cycle. STDs, skin/digestive/urinary tract infections, even a bacterial sinus infection can affect your hormones.

YES! Any antibiotic can change your cycle. If you're really asking about birth control pills, they're going to be affected too.

ANYTHING can throw off your cycle. You're upset about something, cycle screwed. You're trying to lose weight, cycle screwed. Some women can never find a rhythm to their cycles. It's always a surprise.

It might, but not all the time. I was hospitalized for appendicitis, and given tons of atibiotic and penicllin, and low and behold, 2 days later i had my period, when in my normal scedual i wasnt due for atleast another 2 weeks.
If u were taking the medicine and got your period, don't worry, it's normal. =)

Maybe... but what about the sickness that the penicillin was for? It seems like that would be suspect number one.
