I mean he's a tackling machine. He had way more tackles than anyone else, leading the NFL in tackles for the year. I love how he never complains about his misfortunes growing up, he's got such strong character.

he gets so many tackles because his defense is constantly on the field bc there offense sucks and the dline is weak so they run through the dline then he stops the ball carier

he is good though since there on the field so often and he is consistent and never tires out

His high number of tackles is amazing, but its also do to the lack of talent on the defensive line. No one in this world has EVER been the best after just 1 season, no one. I dont care what they did or how great they were their first yr, you cannot be the best after 1 season.

You have to give props to the guys who have been doing it for a long time, or at LEAST 2 yrs.

Brian Urlacher (123 tackles, 5 sacks, 5 int's)
London Fletcher (129 tackles, 3 int's)
Nick Barnett (131 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 int's)
DJ Williams (141 tackles, 1 sack, 1 int)
Angelo Crowell (126 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 int)
DeMeco Ryans (127 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 int)
David Thornton (122 tackles, 1 sack, 2 int's)
Kirk Morrison (121 tackles, 1 sack, 4 int's)

Patrick Willis (174 tackles, 4 sacks)

As you see there are alot of LB's who have impressive stats also, and those guys have done it for at least 2 yrs most of them more. Give Willis a few yrs, and IMO he prob. will end up being considered one of the best in the game for sure.

What is it with you people and tackles now a days?Did I miss something or do tackles still pwn Tackles?Oh wait I didn't they still do.

Anyways No. John vilma is still the best mlb in the nfl. Only linebacker that could retire with a twenty int twenty sack season.

Best hand for a linebacker i've ever seen.

no, hes just the best defender on a shitty team. he still has a lot of work to do, not necessarily physically, but mentally. from the games i saw, he plays the run great, but slow to recognize developing pass plays, and is too fast to committ

he had a great rookie season and one of the best rookie seasons for a linebacker i must say but again hes just a rookie and hes still got alot to prove. if he keeps up what hes doing and possibly get better than yes he will be the best linebacker in the present time.

I think so. I remember him running down a wide receiver from behind. Pretty embarrassing for the wide receiver.
