I am disgustingly honest - I would turn it in. If no one was at the place I found it, I would look for a lost and found (like, at a mall), or if all else fails, turn it in to the police. I might look inside for a phone number of the owner, but aside from that, nothing in anyone else's wallet is any of my business and I wouldn't even count the cash or cards or anything, and I wouldn't take anything out.

I believe I am an honest person, but I don't trust other people's honesty. I wouldn't turn it into the cashier because they might just pocket the cash or whatever. But I would check out the person't ID and try to contact that person myself.

Only a complete jackax would keep it because you probably don't know how difficult it is to contact all the credit cards, replace licenses, etc. etc. You would have to be totally selfish and probably inexperienced in life and also stupid.
If you really feel like it, keep the cash and drop the wallet in a mailbox.
Otherwise contact the owner if you can find them and feel like a real human being.
