Nowdays whatever happens in Pakistan is a cause of concern for US because Pakistan is an ally in the so called "War on Terror". The experts say that without the help of Pakistan US cannot survive in Afghanistan for one single day. Benazir Bhutto was the leader of the Pakistan's largest political party Pakistan People's Party (PPP). She was on her way to become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. President Musharaf is a dictator. He belongs to Pakistani Army. He did not win any elections but became the President of Pakistan in a Military coup. Benazir Bhutto was a common person and a democratic leader. She was the most popular leader. Without her there have been vacum created in the Pakistani politics. In the WAR ON TERROR Pakistan is a major ally. So whatever happens in Pakistan is of direct concern to US. And also that Pakistan is a Nuclear State. So US thinks that it should keep an eye on a Nuclear Power. And for that matter of fact every country in the world thinks like this. And apart from that Pakistan has half the population as US. It has a population of 160 million people. So it is an important country in all regards.
