"iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly."

What does this mean? It pops up everytime I open iTunes. Also, songs won't play in iTunes - they just stay at 0:00 - but videos will. And the songs all work on my iPod.

Any suggestions?

This is complicated and if your ready for the longest answer here goes haha.

First the simple step make sure your iTunes is current.

Check that your audio drive is up to date, Go into my computer, and click management. Then choose device manger. After that click the plus sign next to the device type in the list to the right, right click on the device and choose Properties. Take note of the devices name and manufactuer, check thier website for latest updates.

Remove all itunes plug-ins:

On Windows XP and Windows 2000, iTunes plug-ins are stored in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins
Note: Windows Explorer must be set to "Show hidden files and folders" to see this folder.

On Windows Vista, iTunes plug-ins are stored in the following location:
C:\Users:\username:\AppData:\Roaming:\Apple Computer:\iTunes:\iTunes Plug-ins
Note: Windows Explorer must be set to "Show hidden files and folders" to see this directory. In order to do that, open My Computer and choose "Folder Options" from the Tools menu. Click the View tab and select Show hidden files and folders radio button.
