Hey Im a 13 year old girl, I can sing dance and act. I love acting but I dont know if I should just get on with my life or keep trying to be rich and famous. What are my chances of being an actress?

If all you want is to be rich and famous then there is probably no help for you. performing requires a passion. You shouldn't care about what you get on the side, although most actors never make it up to the level of fame and glory. Do it because you love it.

There's a difference between being an actor and being rich and famous.
90% of the actors union is out of work at any given point in time. 80% of them make under $10,000 a year.
To be rich and famous your last name has to be Hilton or you have to avoid having a Fed-Ex who takes half your future income and forces you get a bank loan to make him go away.
Until you're 18 it's hard (not impossible) to break in and when you do it long hours (10-14 per day) and expensive. Your union card cost $2,500 to buy in one payment and one days pay is only $600 out of which that take $200 in taxes and agent fees. You may only work a few $600 days a year.
And to become famous require paying a press agent $4,000 a week to keep your name in the papers. You don't think they do that for free, do you!

Keep your dream but have an education to fall back onto.
Great example for you:
A friend of mine is a local actor here in Orlando.
He acts in local theatre and even was asked to audition for Telemundo.
He does not only act though. He is a software engineer and has a nice life.
So, he makes a good life for himself by fulfilling is natural needs and his desires at the same time.

Chances are indeed slim. But trust me, you do not want to go on living, wondering why you did not take a chance. your young, you sound talented and seem like a great girl. i think you should go for it with all your heart. put in your best effort. and we'll see where you end up. good luck best wishes.

you chances are only as far as you're willing to go. but if you REALLY want it, you can do it.. I read stories about famous actors living in their cars in hollywood until they were like 30 waiting for their big break.. but if you can stick it out, and work hard, you can do ANYTHING !!!

You must understand the high competition to become famous actress are all over the world who are trying to be on the top. Its not a easy way.

Right now, your main priority should be school.
But you should sign up for acting classes, if it really is your dream. But don't pursue anything until after you graduate at least high school, just in case you change your mind or something.

Sign up at acting classes and see how it goes. Finish school first though cos you need a back up plan if it doesn't work out.
