Same with me too. You wait patiently for a few days. Then, delete them. You cannot force an unwilling one. Can you?

Some people don't know when people add them, they can have that feature turned off and not know you added them. So, the best thing to do is to send an email if they allow it. If not, then it's up to you to judge if they are worth keeping or not. Maybe, they'll eventually notice you and add you.

I only added one person after I asked him if that would be okay. The rest added me. If you add me and we have nothing in common at all, I am not adding back. Sometimes, those people answer my questions and later, I add them. Others never get added. I don't owe an add just because somebody picked me for whatever reason. Most, I do add. Some just leave me wondering why they added me and if it just for my avatar, I don't think that is a good reason.

I have no feeling either way about it. They may be extra security conscious and don't trust everyone on the Internet. This may be a good policy since you don't really know who is on the other side. I don't contact people myself because of that reason. The news is full of people being victimized by others on the Internet. You can't be too careful and I don't take it as a personal thing when no one contacts me.

No offense intended at all, but perhaps they didn't find you very interesting.
I've added contacts who didn't reciprocate, and I've also been added by some folks who I didn't care to add.
I think most people just add people who intrigue or delight them. Those two people you mentioned were obviously of interest to you, but to them you may be a complete stranger -- in other words, you haven't done anything to pique their interest.
My best advice is to not invest yourself emotionally in YA. If you want to truly connect to people online, try some of the Yahoo Groups.
