I'm a big fan of The Doobie Bros myself....how about You?
Here's My Top 10 to get the ball rolling
1 I Cheat The Hangman
(If You never heard it, You should it's one of the most haunting songs ever recorded)
2 Tolouse Street (Another atmospheric, haunting tune)
3 Without You
4 What A Fool Believes
5 Clear As The Driven Snow
6 Long Train Running
7 Jesus Is Just Alright
8 Snake Man
9 Another Park Another Sunday
10 Black Water
As many or as few songs as You like...or fave album or whatever You like
Bonus question: were they better with Micheal McDonald or without?

Most of my Doobie Favs are based on Concert experiences -
1st, some Trivia - Would you believe that on their Vices tour, they did NOT play Black Water (it hadn't hit the charts, yet))
1. Road Angel
2. Without You (was the closer on the Vices tour with smoke, explosions and other cool stuff)
3. Clear as the Driven Snow (powerful switching from soft-loud-soft-loud)
4. Another Park Another Sunday (suprising composition from California Rockers, but a sign of songs to come IMHO)
5. Jesus is Just Alright
6. China Grove (just a cool guitar-riff IMHO)
7. Nobody
8. Double-Floor Flusher (did I misspell?)
9. Long Train Runnin' (great sectional progressions)
10. Listen To The Music (I just like it)

The Doobie Brothers are amazing!
I love every song on their greatest hits album and I also love Steamer Lane Breakdown which not many people seem to know, but it's awesome.

I have a pretty large music collection and yes the Doobies have their niche in it.
1. China Grove
2. Jesus is Just Alright
3. Minute By Minute
4. Black Water
5. Daughters Of The Sea
6. Ukiah
7. You Never Change
8. It Keeps You Runnin'
9. Neal's Fandango
10. Rainy Day Crossroad Blues
I like them both with and without McDonald, I'd give it a slight edge to being better with him.

"Listen to the Music" is one of my top 10 fave songs of the whole of the 70s! :)
Love them.
They were more "down home" pre MM, & got more soul with him. Man, I like both! Can't decide!
