Bush tried for the flat tax and was voted down. What we must acknowledge is that the "poor" in the U.S. enjoy a far higher standard of living than the "poor" of any other nation. A recent census pointed out that most a vast majority of the people at the poverty line still have 2 televisions, running water, electricity, and a cell phone.

because of the fact he's so somewhat mocked.... whilst the phrases you communicate do not experience your strikes..or you "paintings for a reason"...and anticipate rewards on your attempt ...nicely...it is not some thing to be happy with ...is it? edwards is working for place of work...and starting to be the phantasm he incredibly cares approximately human beings...a faux exhibit placed on for cameras...and the backside style of campaigning... the equivalent of "a chicken in each and every pot"...with out considered who's gonna' pay for that chicken ... this is common to be charitable with somebody else's money...

Stonewally, it was a $400 haircut . Get your republican talking points straight.
Not believing Edwards because Bush lied to you is not a good reason to distrust his intentions. Bush never had any intentions to help anyone who didn't have the right amount of money in their wallet and he didn't mind trampling the rights of the middle class and even the religious right who voted him into office.
Edwards is the real deal and will get us out of Iraq, Keep us out of Iran, present legislations for universal health care coverage, not hire any ex-lobbyists in his administration and clean up our image around the world.

Edwards has started and run the Southern Poverty Law Center. He is a tireless advocate for the poor and working class. He was in 2004.
In his law career he fought for the little guy. Read some of his books or wikipedia him if you don't have time.

He has had his own very successful legal business. He was the first in his family to go to college, so there is no silver spoon, or rich daddy involved here. Why hate on the guy for making it himself? Isn't that what we all want? His father was a millworker and his mother worked in a shop and at the Post Office, not very high on the hog stuff. If he wants a $400 haircut, he earned his money so let him make a barber rich, its his money.
He is a very viable alternative to Clinton and Obama, when he was a lawyer, he represented poor clients against corporations. No wonder you are seeing references to junk science, some people will only support corporations no matter how badly ordinary people are harmed.
We call them Republicans.

LOL.. sure Edwards is going to help the poor!
All while living in his 30,000 Sqaure feet Mansion Complex and counting the millions of dollars he made as a trial lawyer chasing ambulances and suing companies for cash.
Im chuckling at the thought of this guy having any concept of what it means to be poor.
If you think this guy is the savior of poor people.... I have some swamp land I need to sell you in Central Antartica!

Here's John Edward's new house:
http://www.carolinajournal.com/exclusives/display_exclusive.html?id=3848
"Knight approved the building plans that showed the Edwards home totaling 28,200 square feet of connected space. The main house is 10,400 square feet and has two garages. The recreation building, a red, barn-like building containing 15,600 square feet, is connected to the house by a closed-in and roofed structure of varying widths and elevations that totals 2,200 square feet.
The main house is all on one level except for a 600-square-foot bedroom and bath area above the guest garage.
The recreation building contains a basketball court, a squash court, two stages, a bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms, swimming pool, a four-story tower, and a room designated “John’s Lounge.”
Obviously, this house has something to do with helping the poor, but I'm not sure what it is at this time. I'll get back to you.

Does Edwards view America's poor as an extension of his jury pools?
Perhaps it's his feeling that he has manipulated them in the past and forecasts future success.
