Once I used sulfuric acid that I got from the hardware store. It is really noxious, and you have to be really careful, but it is made for drains and works the BEST.

I think that liquid fire he is talking about might be this stuff.

Any cleaner that will eat through crud obvoiusly will eat through pipes also.
I would remove the P-Trap (elbow) under the cabinet and check for obstructions both ways. Up to the sink and out to where the water goes. If the obstruction is not up or in the P-Trap then it is further out the line. You can get a "bladder" from Home Depot, etc. that connects to the end of a water hose. Push it into the line going out and turn on the water. This will usually blow the obstruction out. If not, it's time for a plumber.
PS...pouring cooking grease into the sink is not good but if you must...use COLD water ... not hot...it doesn't break up the grease as well, but it will go thru to the main line when as hot water only gets it to a cold spot in the underground pipe where it will gell and cause a problem.

Home centers such as HD and Lowes sell enzyme drain cleaners such as Draincare by Zep. These are safe for all drainage systems. Best to apply at night so it can work overnight. Follow label directions.
