It will end either A) in a few hundred billion years when the sun burns out, the death of humans, and explodes, the death of the world as we know it. B) in a very, very long time when the universe has expanded so quickly that all matter, including atoms, split and everything in the universe ceases to exist as we know it. C) when we are hit by a large asteroid. D) the unlikely event that a full scale war with weapons of atomic powers wipe out all life on the planet and creates a nuclear winter, like a nuclear ice age.

You're right about who does and doesn't know when the end is to be darlin.
No one knows, but what we do know is that the end isn't just the end. It is the end of the world as we know it! That's what the end is.
We know it's coming but we don't know when. A thousand years ago the Catholic church and a number of it's adherents thought it would end then, and soon.
Today we think the same thing. It's all going to end and everyone is pointing to Mayan calenders, Edgar Cayce, & Nostrodamus! No one is looking at God.
He's the only one who knows.
