A minute of your time. When we were small lots of us had ideas of how life would go for us in the future. Two questions:
1. Did any of your plans happen?
2. Where has it gone wrong?
Just curious as per usual.

AJ: Thanks for asking. My ambition when I was 2 was to be a limousine! Ok that one's pretty unfeasible so we'll overlook it. Later I wanted to be: A cabinet maker, aeronautical engineer, pilot, guitarist, sound engineer, free spirited traveller, TEFL teacher, International development project manager and now I'm considering social work in the private sector. Some of my plans happened: I've been trying out all sorts of new life experiences, have kept my family, lots of my friends andhaven't lost sight of who I used to be. But I don't have: my soulmate as my partner, the answer or even a clue about the answer to life- if there is one. I don't have the freedom of expression I would have liked and I've compromised in lots of areas in which I was originally sincere e.g. never lying to people. But you can only do your best. So that's what I'm doing. And I think you can re-shape your future if you have the vision.

Manic mechanic - I wouldn't advise looking to me as a coach. But if I was pressed- these are the acorns of potential wisdom I would offer:
-Stay sincere, say what you think even if everyone disagrees.
-If a decent friend pi**es you off don't let it stand between your future relationship.
-Don't rule out spirituality in this life.
-Giving to others also gives you sustainance in a weird quirk of fate. But you might not see the results for some time.
-If people like me give advice take it with a pinch of salt. You know yourself better than I do.
