Open Excel. Format column A as Custom, format "0000" Put 0 in A1. Edit \ Fill > Series... Series in: Column Type: Linear Step Value: 1 Stop Value: 9999 That will give you every 4-digit combination from 0 to 9.

You don't need Excel.
Test all numbers 000 to 999.
That is every combination.
There is no shorter list.
You probably used the combo before.
So take guesses and keep track of them.
Or, try a good hypnotist.

do you only have digits 0 - 9 on the lock? if so, just count: 001, 002, 003, ..., 999. at 5 seconds per try, worst case it will take about an hour and a half.
I had a briefcase with locks like that. I retired 2 1/2 years ago, and have no idea where it is now.
Good luck.

Is this a joke?
-----------
Well, thanks for the thumbs down, but... Who in the world will need a print out of 1000 numbers to open a lock???.
What will you do? Test each one while crossing the wrong ones??
Why don't you try in order without the printout? 000, 001, 002, etc..
I just don't get it!!
