Lets ask the elder german communities if this is what they saw happening at the rise of hitler.......the similarities....The Burning of the German Parament (terrorism) unified germans too fight (patriotism). Hitler had close alliences with the catholic church and played it to the hilt .(Fascism comes with a cross draped in a flag).
This president is very capable of doing this, and would probably bring about a second revolution too this country if he did....We need a peaceful president that will protect our citizens, not our enimies citizens.

George Bush, will be as ready to get out of the white house as, the democrats wants him out. Besides he has enough money he can go somewhere and never have to see or hear one democrat for the rest of his life, if he so chooses. This tale, has always circulated when we were at war before . so relax, I just don't see this happen. Maybe the democrats are scared Hillary will be elected, and they are running scared as I am.. Now there a thought. Happy New Year.

You mean, "the newly appointed President" don't you?
I hate to sound jaded, but I really, truly thought that after Florida in 2000, that everyone would have been on the ball about fraudulent vote-counting, but was I fooled!
1. If there was a news black-out for the duration of the vote-counting, and 2. If all the votes were truly counted,
then I would have my faith in America restored. Until then, I'd keep my money in my pocket for sure!

100% sure. And 99% sure that the Republicans are going to use the Diebold electronic voting machines to STEAL the White House, just as they did in 2004. Since Congress has been too apathetic and gutless to mandate safeguards that would render such abuse impossible.
Go to Amazon and look up "The Conyers Report."
Or see this. (The "Back" button doesn't always work well, so please right-click on the link and "Open in New Window" that you can easily close, afterward. Feel free to vote in the polls, while you're there.) ---

To "correrafan" -- I think you'll appreciate these. (See instructions above, to view. Check out the links *within* the articles, too.) --

50%. No more.
Over the last 7 years, things have been done that no true American ever dreamed the people would allow in this country. The executive orders are already in place that would allow GWB to do what you describe.
It would not be a surprise if political murders were to start here about next October.

If what you describe had been possible, Bill Clinton would have done it.

99.9999% sure. If Bush tried to show that blatant a grab for power he would quickly find himself strung up from the nearest lamppost. And in that case the election and inauguration might be postponed a little. Despite the crazy political posturing you see here I think the vast, vast majority of Americans would rise up regardless of political party and drag down a would be tyrant. And that's something to be feared, thanks to the second amendment.
"Without the second amendment, the Bill of Rights becomes a Bill of Privileges."
