This has nothing to do with stupidity. This just has to do with their egos. They believe that their values, morals, ethics, nd mentality is superior to others because they are different. They are hard-working, determined and will struggle to get the best. Once they get it they flaunt it.

Let's not forget the caste system is in for a lot in this way. Let's not judge people ONLY based on our own experiences (biased way of viewing things). Let's look at the QUALITIES of both South and North Indian people. Let's look at them both as a group of people in an objective and historical matter.

Let's not forget that because one HASN'T encountered such an individual he/she has to generalise that the person making such an objective statement, is generalising.
To make this clear, it is not because one individual
has NOT MET this type of individual that he has to generalise the other way around.

It takes all to make a world. So, in both, South Indians and North Indians you will fins people with superiority complexes and inferority complexes. You will meet different types of people because EVERY INDIVIDUAL IS DIFFERENT. Let's not OVERGENERALISE how South Indians are and how North Indians are.

Let's just underline the fact that there is some truth to the fact that the North Indians, especially the Jat Sikhs think of themselves as superior. Though NOT ALL OF THEM are like that. They just have a strong drive to work hard and are very determined all everything they do (especially BUSINESS)

Now let's underline South Indian people. These people are in control of Computer Sciences, and the Medical sections. They work hard also and are also very determined and intelligent in order to get where they want to be. I am sure South Indians have a certain amount of superiority complex. Again, NOT ALL OF THEM are like that. Remember: education, personality traits, character, environnmental issues, etc.. influence one as an INDIVIDUAL.

Because of the caste system?

I would not like to generalise that way. I am a South Indian and I had worked in Delhi. I had an excellent time with them. I never felt that they suffered from any superiority complex. On the other hand, I thought some of the south Indians were puffed with a false sense of superioty as to their command over the English language. You may have come across some guys who rubbed you on the wrong side. They are just individuals who deserve your contempt and rebuke at the individual level. It need not lead to a sweeping generalisation on your part.

This is true. they have a very strong identity, are very patriotic, Godward, have excellent family values and a hard work ethos, especially the Landowning Farmers known as the Jats. They originate from the Indo European Arian creed hence the superiority complex is ingrained into their chemistry regardless of seven hued skin colourings. Even their very dark skinned fair featured specimens.

Be Proud of Whoever you are...
