It’s nearly 2008 and we live in a world full of technology where even the kids are talking on cell phones while riding down the street on their bikes. But every time I go to town I am saddened by a disturbing sign and no one seems to care. Just before the last curve before entering the town is a sign “Slow Blind Driveway” now I don’t know if this driveway is completely blind, can make out shadows or just legally blind but I would think something could be done. Don’t they have seeing eye sidewalks or something?

We used to have something in our area called a "limited sight-distance hill" . I too used to think how sad that they couldn't afford a pair of glasses for something that large but thankfully now I believe the condition can be corrected by Lasik.

It's possible the driveway is blind in one eye but doesn't want to admit this since it would reduce the amount of it's disability check each month.

must be a new classification. how politically correct shall we be in this case? i would assume the worst and say that the driveway is totally blind. best to be cautious in today's world.

Yes, of course they have seeing eye sidewalks and stuff like that, but you're misinterpreting the sign: The DRIVEWAY is slow, as in "dim-witted," so it's liable to just dart out into traffic anyway.
