In May 2007, "Cult of Personality" was the very first song to be confirmed for the tracklist of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. As the master track could not be found, the band re-recorded the song specifically for the game, along with a new guitar solo.[

It was re released because in GTA (3?) or maybe Vice City, the song appeared as part of the soundtrack. It was the same game that had America- Horse with no name in it. I believe GTA 3.

2006 i believe because its on guitar hero 3 and i remember reading it, its around that time :)
