These are for the people who get lost and won't ask for directions. (we know who they are) My husband has a Tom-Tom. I prefer to use a map and plan out my destination BEFORE I get there. I don't like last minute surprizes.

Had one, the mounting was delicate, ended up breaking (no way to charge the criter). Navigators are not down to 100.00 or so, and seem to do the same job as the Garmin...neither better or worse. The problem I found with Garmin and some of the cheaper ones was, when driving to a know destination on a freeway, it would have me get off an exit, only to have me get right back on! The best navigator I have ever used comes in Mercedes, and Mercedes' is polite! I would hold off buying a Garmin IF it is expensive....paying more than a couple of hundred dollars for one of these things is really a thing of the past. Goldwing

I have a couple of them, one for driving and one for flying. they are a great help. BUT the information on them especially about business locations etc is not 100% accurate. However, the driving info has always been good.

My parents do and they love it. It helps you to get places the fastest way and helps you find restaurants, gas stations, etc.

My husband does and he installed them in several delivery trucks for the building supply business. He loves his and it works better than his PDA navigation system.
