I've done a lot of reading, and been told that the more severe your morning sickness is the higher the chance of having a girl. Can anyone prove that wrong? I wouldn't mind having another girl, but I have a 3 year daughter. A boy would be a nice change!

My friend had very bad morning sickness from beginning to end and lost 16 lbs because of it and she just had a boy a few weeks ago. Old wives tales are fun but don't put to much thought into them.

My first was a girl, I was sick but it wasn't too bad. I was really sick for my 2nd and that turned out to be twin boys!

My friend has 2 girls, she wasn't sick at all with one but couldn't get out of bed with the other.

Good luck!

Im 16 weeks, and im still having morning sickness. It isnt severe or anything, usualy just a few minutes in the morning and im fine after that. My sickness also started early, at around 2 weeks. it was one of my first symptoms.

I am the ONLY person in my family (great grandmother, grandmother, mother, aunts etc...) to EVER have morning sickness, and with the exception of my 1 uncle, they have all had girls.

So I wouldnt look too much into the sickness thing. They had none and had girls, Ive had a crapload, and looking at my ultrasound pic from 15W3D Im almost positive im having a boy (doc wont confirm until my 18 -20 week ultrasound)

Just hang in there for the ultrasound, or get an amnioscynthesis, that will give apositive result as early as 7 weeks as well as check for anything that may be wrong with the little darling =) Best of luck!

I had zero morning sickness with my first child, girl. I had some with my 2nd (boy) and some with my 3rd (girl). My 4th its horrible nausea, but no vomiting. Too early to know the sex yet. I'd not put too much faith in old wives tales.

With my first pregnancy I was terribly ill until the second tri. I was even on meds because of it. My SON is now 2.

I don't know for sure how true it is but I have two boys and wasn't sick at all. This time I'm pregnant with a girl and I had morning sickness for about 9 weeks.

Every pregnancy is different and you could easily be having a boy still.

Good Luck!

I'm really not sure about all those old wives tales. I have not had one bit of morning sickness and I am having a girl. When it comes down to it, it's just a 50/50 chance.
