iTunes doesn't let you do this, the best idea is to get a memory stick, CD or some sort of storage device, get them saved onto the storage device from the computer you bought it from, then put them onto your computer.
There are some programs which allow you to get songs from your iPod to your computer but it is a little harder and complicated. I think one is :
www.yamipod.com but I havn't used it personally
Good luck

Itunes won't let you transfer from the Ipod to your computer, only the other way around. I guess it's to prevent people from 'sharing' music. What you can try is to open the ipod in My Computer, go to folder options and click "view hidden files". The contents of your Ipod should be there. Copy the folders to your desktop and then to the Itunes. The files won't be named what you called them, (they'll be named things like NEB and BIP and so on). It would be a huge pain to go through and rename all of them, but you'd have them.

I think it could be that content on one iPod is only for that iPod and settings for it are set on the computer where it was synced. You should try using a USB flash disk or something else to move the files. That works for me.

You need to unauthorize the other computer probably. Since it is a different computer you are using.

You can only transfer songs from a computer on to an iPod not vise versa.
Trust me, I've tried billions of times because I had to keep clearing my computer because of viruses.
