I called him to apologize for being in a silly argument and wanted him to say the same for screaming & cussing at me. I checked our bank & noticed an expedited $8 mail fee, called & asked what was going on and he said Guess!?!

Alright, so he's leaving me, naturally I say just dont come home... why would I wana hear from someone who I had Christmas plans with that night that they are divorcing me.

We live in the state of Texas, we were married 01-23-2004 in Arkansas... in September of 2006 he finally convinced me & my disabled dad to move to Texas... we have NO way to move from here now.

He gave me $100 last week & yes I took $350 from OUR account to pay bills because I couldnt understand what was going on & I had to do something.

Now he doesnt want to do anything else to help me, my dad [who has lived with us & helped us TREMENDOUSLY] or OUR dogs..

I cannot get state help because I have a job, its not a grand job that'll carry us thru without him. Any advice or guidance for me

We rent our home, he has already locked me out of the checking account & apparently got himself a new one & having his checks deposited there [wherever that might be] my dad is on disability.. we do not have children.. he has a 401K that has $$ in it idk how much but it started during our marriage.

He signed his car over to my dad since he took the newer one.

Sounds like someone mis-managed some budget along the way to a real horse-manure relationship. I guess you two can always blame it on the dogs . . . Huh?

You were married 3 stinking years you get what you brought into the marriage he gets what he had. Otherwise you don't get jack. Get another job and support yourself. No one owes you anything more. YOU probably owe him money since you took the $350. Why do women think men are slaves, put on Earth to give you money. Support your own damn self it's your privilege and obligation as an equal.

The crap I heard in these answers sound like a bus load of Jerry Springer guests. I only saw 1 answer that clearly told you to support yourself. Just who do you think you are and why do you think you should have a slave? You indicate no children, you work and you were married a very short time.

Also, from how you write and what you say I see why he took off. If your dad is helping tremenously like you say, you should be fine, unless that's not true either. You aren't concerned about your relationship going down the toilet (gee I wonder why that happened) but only what money you can get from your soon to be EX (I hope for his sake he's your EX soon)

In short: No kids, able to work, father that helps support you... now you want gov. assistance and your ex to give you more than what you came into a 3 year marriage with. You're either a druggie or a drunk is my guess

sounds such as you had a very functional visitation device set up along with her, regrettably it somewhat is often extra suited to have it legalized in case some thing adjustments. :( whilst i replaced into youthful, the nicely-known replaced into 5 weeks for the time of the summer season whilst my father had visitation rights another weekend. in case you may, i might say pass to court docket and get the visitation as you had it set up legalized quite than attempting to remedy something by potential of word of mouth. 6 months is far too long in case you have finished custody. additionally, this is style of ridiculous for him to tell you the place to place the baby help. in case you may come to an contract with him that like 25-50% of it is going in the direction of a college fund, then this is fantastic. yet somewhat, young babies have residing expenses *till now* they pass to varsity!

He will be in more trouble because he left. Hire an attorney NOW. Keep any evidence of his wrong- doing. When you got to court, burn him a new one, sounds like he deserves it

When you get divorce papers, get an attorney...and request that he pay your attorney fees...and file for separation maintanence until the divorce is final to help you get on your feet. I would open my own checking accout so that he cannot get access to what money you have and since he left the home, I would have the locks changed as well.

In most states a husband has to help support the wife unless she was the primary money maker during the marriage. If you were then you need a lawyer. If he was the primary money maker ask the public defenders office what you should do. You'll probably be advised to get an attorney. There are groups that will help you with that expense if you need it. Ask any lawyer. Maybe your husband will come to his senses and come home or maybe you'll get things worked out. After that, make certain you alsways make enough money to care for you and your father. Good luck and I hope you have a better New Year.
