Did you ever send away for the I.D. card and the badges to become a member of the Dick Dastardly Vulture Squadron?
My Dad did when I was overseas and sent me a complete set. He also gave one to my older brother who was over there somewhere different but in the same general area as I was. I think we both have bits and pieces of those sets stored away somewhere.

I never got to send for anything but I remember when there were little phonograph records made out of cardboard and they really worked.

I used to save lids from ice-cream dixie cups (the ones with pics of movie stars.) When I had enough, I would send them away and get a coloured 10x10 pic. My favourite ones were Jeannie Crain , Ann Blythe, Arlene Dahl, Audie Murphy,Rod Cameron and Jeff Chandler. I put them up on a stand and my brother threw darts at them . It still burns me up to think of it.

During WWII the cereal boxes came with different airplanes stamped into the back you could cut them out and put them together. Japanese Zeros, German Messerschmitt, English Spitfire, U.S. Mustang. Your question brought back a lot of memories.
