I'm currently going to a D2 school with a volleyball scholarship and after i get my basics done i'm considering changing to another school that would have my major. [[D1 or D2]] What would i need to do to transfer and would i have to sit out year from playing? would i still get a scholarship? how soon should i start looking?

Yes, scholarship athletes who transfer have to sit out a year before they can play. You can't just take your scholarship, which was given to you by your current school, with you. The new school would have to have an intercollegiate volleyball team and would have to offer you a scholarship to play on it in order for you to continue with a scholarship. As you look at schools, you will need to talk to the coaches at any schools you consider to see if this would be possible.
