I think we're modern lazy, we don't have to get up and change the channel on TV, if your AC has a remote remain in the recliner!! If you want your car washed, go to the drive-thru and on and on!!! Want to eat right now, stick it in the microwave!! We're spoiled!!!

previous college rap had which potential. This mainstream crap has no factor to it in besides. I mean come on, Soulja Boy? Lil Wayne? Drake? those dumbasses do not stand a great gamble to the solid stuff like Run DMC, Public Enemy, De la Soul, and Nas....

I have less modern conveniences now than 10 years ago. When the break I do not buy the new improved version but rather the tried and true older kind. I did get a dishwasher though. And that is one thing I will not do without ever again.

My grandparents were married for over 50 years and lived without hot water or a bathtub. They had the biggest kettle I ever saw and it was the first thing they put on the stove when they got up. We don't miss what we've never had.
I would miss the internet if it was gone and we haven't had it for a year yet.

Neither we are just blessed to have so much equipment available to us. Many folks still feed horses, cattle, grow and cut hay etc.
We can pick and choose within our financial means the items that make life easier for us. We probably stave off heart attacks by using some of this equipment.
I have some days I can't and others I can do more physical labor. When you're not able to even run a time saving convenience device the work still doesn't get done.

I guess we're all just individuals plugging along the way we always did, but older.

I like a motorized weed-cutter and a chain-saw. An electric drill that doesn't have an extension cord tied to it. A freezer compartment on the fridge larger than a cigar box. Ratchet/socket-sets and open ends available so cheap a man can keep more than one for when something gets lost.

Just human weakness, I suppose.

One thing that I just love having is an electronic juicer. Nothing better than juicing a few apples and oranges - or whatever fruit is in the kitchen, and having the juice fresh. I don't believe anyone can do juice like the machines do it - your arms would break and you'd still not get half of what is in those little beggars !

I think a little of both. I know I cannot do without my microwave, but I still open cans with the can opener that you stick in the can and wiggle it around the top to open it.
