We would be pretty small because of the reasons b b said. And if we were pretty small, we would use less natural resources, could live in even greater numbers without upsetting the environment, world hunger would be at an end because in comparison to us, normal fruits and vegetables would be huge, we would be nowhere as technologically advanced as we are now because normal tools like rocks would be too huge, and probably not too useful to us and our tiny lives. We would have a shorter lifespan because smaller things just cannot store as much energy as bigger things. And finally we would no longer at the top of the food chain becasue we could not hunt large things as efficiently, and we would have competition for our food source, like birds.

However, the thought of just such things has been fodder for MANY horror stories and movies for MANY years...

Fortunatley the way exoskeletons are, insects and other exo animals can only get so big before the weight of the exoskeleton would become too big. That's why the biggest animals with exoskeletons are at the bottom of the sea (crabs and lobsters) where the pressure of the ocean can help support the weight.

Lizards were and are bigger than us and we still do ok. (Dinosaurs, alligators, crocodiles) I think we'd hang in. We probably would not be as advanced as we are technically because alot of our ansestor's time would be on survival not inventing a telephone.
