a. Are you having a boy or girl?
b. Are you sure it's not twins?

It's a toss up for me. I get so tired of telling people repeatedly that we are NOT finding out the sex of the baby. And I hate it when people ask jokingly 'are you sure it's not twins??'. yes I'm sure. Twins don't run in either my husbands family or mine and the technician said he saw the baby very clearly on the ultrasound so I'm sure he would have noticed an extra arm or leg sticking out somewhere.

I think the twins questions is far more annoying. You may as well say, WOW you're really big! I just give people who say that a blank stare. How insensitive!!!!

Neither question bothers me much but if i had to pick it would be are you sure its not twins.

What i hat more is when you tell people you are having a girl/boy and they try to convince you you are having the other sex.

Or people that touch you belly all the time even people you don't know

lol I had my kids when it was a guessing game...you didn't know until PeeWee arrived!....female relatives had fun predicting..in fact my family has a Baby Pot...as soon as some one announces the up-coming arrival we place a bet on boy or girl...then put a set amount into the pot....whoever wins gets to take the money and buy something for the baby as an extra shower gift....we lable it on the card ....'From the Pot"...lol.
Now, since I come from a big irish family I have many cousins quite a bit younger than me (20-30 years, some of 'em, I'm the third oldest of the first cousins and the oldest girl) the younger ones are having ultra sounds and announcing the sex
...but I used to get hit with "Which do you want, a boy or a girl"...I used to smile and say "I'd rather have a puppy"....usually got a laugh 'cause it was obvious how excited I was with each pregnancy.....and it made the questioning less annoying.

With my last, tho...the dr swore I was measuring full term whe I was just entering my seventh month..ultrsound was coming into it's own so he ordered one to rule out twins......it turned out to be a big baby ( I have chubby newborns, the last was 10 pounds) but it was a matter of are we expecting number four...or number four and five?????.....
Good Luck!

The twins question is annoying. But I don't see how the "boy or girl" question would be annoying. What else are they going to say to you? They want to talk to you about your baby.

Definitely the twins question. I'm fine w/ people asking if it's a boy or a girl. Asking if it's twins borders on being really rude!!

hahahahaha for me it is "is it a boy or a girl", "when are you due" and "do you have names picked out". It is a toss up. LOL.

im 16 weeks, and I could go and find out, but we are waiting a few more to be sure of a more accurate result.
People i dont know asking me when im due means that im getting fat, and they can tell im pregnant, which makes me feel fatter LOL.
And im sick of telling everyone the names we have picked out lol.

For all those on here who have mailed me recently:

1 - dont know gender yet
2- June 17th, 2008
3- Brea Carol Reader for girl, and Aiden Phillip Reader for a boy.

LOL after thinking more - my worst is "when are you due"
I hate people noticing at this point, makes me feel fatter than i am, and the face that I had to buy maternity already isnt helping, lol.

both are equal. In my case, it was, are you sure it's not another one in there? (I had twins) People would stare at me and ask me so much that I made a hat that said "Yes. I'm Pregnant. With twins. So, you can STOP STARING NOW!"

i dont mind either question... to be honest id rather they asked, but id also like them to ask 'can i touch?' rather than having strangers lunging forward to give my big fat belly a prod!!! so annoying

I'm not currently pregnant, but I would have to say that 'b' is the most annoying. I don't recall anyone actually asking me the question. I had a huge torpedo shaped belly by the end of my pregnancy and I got so many stares. I always thought that the gawkers were wondering how many babies I had in there. Just one.
