I spent the time to read your essay. I viewed the links.
It is rare that I have encountered such a question/ explanation on yahoo! answers. Please don't formulate a complete opinion of the United States from what you see on Y!Answers. (y!answers is a poor forum for such a deep subject matter.)
As you have said; every country has it's beauties and uglies, problems and solutions, ways of comfort and ways of thinking.
Perhaps beyond our differences are pure truths, ultimate wisdoms. As more wisdom is shared and discovered, the more commonalities we will share, in that larger sharing is peace. A pastor once told me "The reason there are similarities in religions is that pure truth is the light of God, which can never be totally blighted out; thus it shows through in all things."

Most Americans are usually of the belief that the rest of the world hates them, Iran is no exception, so don't take it personally.
However, Americans in the know realize that Iran is one of the more pro-American countries in the world in regard to our culture and our way of life (I have no idea why). It probably helps that there are several million Iranians living in the U.S., with a large contingent in L.A. This is not the case with other countries in that part of the world. Iran appears to be the exception.

مطمئنا آمریکایی ها هم اگر حقایق رو بدون جوسازی های رسانه ای بشنوند، نسبت به ایرانی ها حس بدی نخواهند داشت

Iranian's have to understand, "Most Americans Are against the War" that is going on and have no idea Why We are even over there. I sincerely believe you cannot judge a Barrel by a few Bad Apples. Americans only see what is on the TV and the Media normally only shows the Bad, like "Some" Iranians buring the American Flag..

Very good question......
I think that people generally in the US have a very narrow view of the world. They tend to only listen to what the "news" tells them and not take the initiative to learn more about the rest of the world. Words like "3rd world nations" bother me. As I am Mexican American, I have been very fortunate to have been born here but at the same time understand that there are many points of view on one ideal. I have lived in Africa (south, north and west) Europe, Asia and have found that the average person in these countries knows more about world geography than the average person in the US. Having said that,..The US is the best for opportunities and freedoms, just not the best in understanding diversity and not being xenophobic about it... I do understand that people basically just want peace, security, freedom. Political systems and greed is what makes hate against anything that challenge those two things...

If our countries could just get rid of our politicians and our so-called religious "leaders" I'll bet we'd get along just fine.
