Try thinking of percentage as money.

100% is one dollar.
50% is 50 cents, or half of a dollar.
25% is 25 cents, or a quarter of a dollar.
10% is 10 cents, or one tenth of a dollar.

Sometimes that helps to clarify percentages because it's something you already understand. The website noted above seems pretty good, but if you have specific questions that would help us to help you better.

Whats with these back to back questions about black people tipping? That actually depends on the store or franchises policy. Some require you to leave a tip others don't .

basically.if 'X' amount is for (or out of) 'Y' how much is 'X' out of 100... simple..
