-they are racist and sexist.
- sam walton was an amazing man and for the worker. as soon as he died his family turned his company into a profit monster that didn't care about the employees
-Wal-Mart fails to provide health insurance to over half its employees. Who pays for it? We all do.
-Wal-Mart is the subject of the largest class action lawsuit in history by current and former female employees who were paid and promoted at significantly lower rates than their male co-workers.
-If Wal-Mart were an independent nation, it would be China’s eighth-largest trading partner. Is Wal-Mart trading away America's future to fatten its corporate bottom line?
-For every new Supercenter that Wal-Mart opens, two local supermarkets will close. How will this affect your town? Big box stores like Wal-Mart spend nearly four times less within local and state economies as local businesses do
-The average pay for a Wal-Mart sales associate is $1,000 below the poverty line for a family of three. Business as usual? Not necessarily. Retail rival Costco pays its workers 65% more on average than Wal-Mart, yet earns more profits per employee.
i could go on and on about wal-mart...my husband and i have already banned it from our spending money. i'm not one of those people who think they are too good to shop there. i used to love them and love their low prices...then i researched them and it ruined it for me. if you shop at wal-mart you support them tearing up our economy. and i can't support that.

I whole heartedly endorse what you have to say, and yes will try and make my own personal stand, but I cannot help but feel like a straw in the wind where these companies are concerned, letters to your members of parliament and to the Oval Office would bare more weight I would have though
I have just realised you are in the USA, we do have very similar situations growing here in England, with firms like Sainsburys and Tescos etc, who are becoming Giants, and our farmers are suffereing through their systems Selling mens jeans for £3 = how can that be anything by slave labour abroad???? Scary or what?
Happy New Year Lets try and make it a SPECIAL ONE

I'm with you. I hate walmart. All the little stores that were made by locals or even anyother chains just stop existing when walmart comes around. And stupid people just go with it.
Where I live there is this Port with all these amazing stores that you will never find anywhere else (and boutiques) and stuff. It is located by the ocean and is very beautiful and old and fun to be around, but poeple like McDonalds and Walmart want to come in and prcatically destroy it! It is an OUTRAGE! I will no longer be able to shop anywhere besides the small limited mall we have and WALMART!
*sigh* Im okay now....
