Lately I cannot choose a best answer because when I have 50 + someone reports the questions & it is removed. Some have returned afew days later however, but not all yet.

I always have trouble deciding, most answers I get are really too good to choose, but have never had a problem with actually physically choosing an answer., except when somebody reports my question as not a question or chatting, grrr. I thought they were good questions, lol!
It might have been me that burned the cinnamon rolls, ndnquah, or maybe I just did that, also! Didn't know anybody else was as inept as me, but then my problem was my old stove! And then, I burned the first batch on the new stove because I didn't know the ways of the new stove yet. But I got it right, now!

When any of my questions make it through the 4 hours it takes before I can make a selection I am amazed! My questions even get violated and removed after I've made a selection of best answer. I have had no luck with appeals either, but then I've only appealed a violation once...
Some of the answers just jump out at you and of course that would be the answer I select the best. If all the answers are wonderful I will check to see who needs the points, not that points truly matter. But, it makes me feel better to help someone along the points latter. I will also look to see who has Stared my question. I look for honesty, warmth and humor.
And, I always try to make a comment on their answer that is positive. But... that's just my way of trying to make it right!

I find it difficult in general to pick a Best Answer because often just about the time I know which one I'll pick, another answer comes that is great too. Wish I could pick 1st best answer and 2nd best answer. But Yahoo Answers has enough problems now!

I usually choose best answer myself after at least one day. When it goes to the community to pick they sometimes delete it if every answer evens out and no one answer is better.

It sure can be a difficult decision some times.
I think there may be sour grapes on the part of some if they are not chosen. Who knows.
Sometimes ALL the answers are good but one just appeals to me on an particular point and I choose that one but it doesnt mean the others are bad or that I didnt like them.
Someone pointed out to me that it costs 5 points to ask a Q but you get 3 back when you pick BA.
I didnt realise that but I really like to pick BA myself rather than let it go to community.
However if you are worried then that is a good option.

I have had lots of problems lately.
I have got so I'm scared to ask a question because it gets deleted.
The bad thing you know that everyone enjoys it are you would not get so many replies.
Also remember it takes two to report are it will not get deleted.
So I have been just sitting back answering.

There have been many observations about the question being removed. They are very busy removing questions, they may be having some kind of winter clean up. Even good questions are said to be removed . Happy New Year
