I am 18 years old and started taking the pill about 6 months ago. It was fine until this month I missed two pills by accident and began to get my spotting in the middle of my cycle. Since i was in my 3rd week, I finished my medicated pills and immediately began using another pack. I skipped the sugar pills thinking that my period would stop.
It has been a week since I did that and I still have a really light period and spotting! Is this normal!? Is there any way I can get it to stop?
Thanks.

You really should have called the doctor instead of skipping the sugar pills, as they know more about the drug than you do.

The bleeding you had was breakthrough bleeding because you missed two pills in a row. Next time read the PAMPHLET that came with your pack on what to do about the missed pills (or call the doctor, or call the pharmacist, or google your pill online).

Your cycle will take some time to get back on track.

Call up your doctor and ask their advice on what to do next.

The best thing to do would be consult with the doctor who prescribed them to see if she or he has any suggestions. Some spotting is normal on the pill, so I wouldn't worry too much about it; however, I know it can be a pain.
