nintendogs was a poor quality made. What you will just have to do is call him over by whistling with his picture. Tap the picture so it becomes a close up, the press the whistle button.

I know what you mean I had to go threw it to. But all you have to do is be patient it's worth it after a while and every time you turn it off you have to restart!

I don't even bother to get them to come from hearing his or her name. I personally like the whistle that you can use to call him. It works a lot better. If you have any more questions let me know. I hope I helped! :-)

Glad I came across you, I know it is very irritating. You need to say his name often not all the time. When it is far away, you can call its name and it will come to you.
