Okay, I havent used my computer for like 1 month. But when I turned it on, it is in wide screen mode. I never touched it, went to control panel and did he screen resolution thing and it didnt work. Checked my monitor but everything is working fine. So right now im guessing that it is my PC. Whats the matter. I never touch the PC for a while.

Is it possible that someone else used your computer while you weren't using it?

If so, you may want to try doing a System Restore to a time when your monitor was displaying things the way you want it to.

Good luck, I hope I helped you, and Happy New Year!

You might need to reset the drivers.

Go onto your computer manufactures website and download the latest graphics card drivers, or, if you have a custom graphics card.. re-download the drivers from their website and install them.

This often happens with custom graphics cards and a long period of being shut off. You also might want to spray the inside of it out, around the fan and power box.
